I guess it's all anecdotal at this point, but cops seem to show a remarkable
amount of restraint...around here at least. We've had several high profile
incidents in the KC area recently where cops have been under fire....and
taken great pains to capture the person alive and unharmed, even though it
meant putting themselves at greater risk.

It's what their training is supposed to prepare them for.
