Go back and look..I never commented on whether or not I thought what they
did was justified. I think it could have been handled differently. At the
very least I think they should have A) not destroyed the lumber the guy was
taking and b) not destroyed the vehicle, buy maybe impounded it or given it
to someone else (as was pointed out by someone else). But without knowing
the full contect of that clip, I reserved comment. I use my computer as my
livelihood, and if I perpetrated a crime with it, I would expect it to be
taken from me.

I advocate capital punishment for only the most heinous of crimes. That
said, do you know what they call someone who steal a loaf of bread when they
are starving?  A thief.
