Any sort of abuse is wrong. I have friends and neighbours who are Islamic, and they don't exhibit this. The stuff about the genital mutilation has nothing to do with Islam, rather those acts are a part of tribal traditions in the Middle East and Northern Africa. Its extremely rare that you hear about such in places like Indonesia. When you do its almost invariably involving people from the Middle East or Northern Africa. Much of what you describe is cultural, not a part of the religion. Its very much like condemning all of the Hindu religion because of the actions of the Janata Party in India. Your own perceptions also play a part. If you were a foreigner and your only information about the US was the tabloids, the Jerry Springer Show and news that focused almost exclusively on back woods trailer parks you'd have a very different view of Americans than you would if you lived all your life in the US. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;207172674;29440083;f Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:288839 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
