Do I know what's in the hearts of the protesters? No. Do I know that
they are being gunned down and there should be strong words of protest
about it from the world? Yes.
I don't expect the UN, US, or anyone to change the government of Iran.
I do expect them to say something about their actions and (at least in
the UN's case) try to do something about them. The UN is basically
ignoring this. That's the focus here. The UN.
Obama is a secondary thing. His strong stance denouncing the killings
and calling for the Iranian government to stop is refreshing. Oh, he
didn't do that? Well, I guess it's egotistical to think that the
president should do that.

As for what's going on over there and who the players are, it's all
over the news for most/all to see. One side is no better than the
other but at least to the people in Iran there's a difference. I don't
care who wins. I care how they treat their people and how they're
going to treat people outside their borders. I don't expect any
Iranian government to stop their nuclear program. I don't expect any
Iranian government to stop funding terrorism. That is, any government
short of a full revolution, which ain't happening any time soon.
