Larry,

How does my driving and SUV affect your freedom of choice. Did you go
to Toyota first to buy a car and they said "Um...well...since Kevin
Schmidt in Des Moines, Iowa...has a Ford Explorer....we can't sell you
this car, sorry." Nothing I do affects your freedom of choice.

With me I drive a nurd type car. We went from a highly efficient Geo
Metro -
when we got rid of it, it was getting over 50 mpg hwy and 40 in the
city.

We now have a Saturn station wagon. With our animals and our gear you
really
need the room, but it took some getting used to. When I was commuting,
it
would tick me off to see these people sittingin their Explorers sitting
on
the Beltway, one person per behemoth. What a waste, of gasoline, the
pollutants etc. Its all right to natter on about freedom of choice and
that
but does one do when does your freedom of choice interfere with mine.
There
should also be some communal rights as well? Self centerd behaviors
destroy
what is held in common and is necessary for not only the individual's
but
the groups survival and growth.
