There is already a gas guzzler tax: go check out any car with a v-12 engine. IE
Mercedes-Benz s600. It's about $4K. Don't forget that V8's in sedans get almost as
bad gas milage as SUVs, but you only seem to attack the SUVs. Something against them,
or is it that you can't afford one?

As for the gas, sure let's try to control the markets. Guess what, it doesn't work.
I am sure you noticed that the congress already tried to raise CAF standards this
year and it didn't pass.

>positives: tax rebates on highly fuel efficient vehicles, both on purchase

>approaches.

Several of these already exist. Including tax incentives. No matter who much of a tax
break you give me I ain't gonna drive a tin can. Even if I have to pay 2 a gallon,
which I have, a few summers back. I will still drive my SUV.
