Uh, I told you what I do. Connectivity between systems and information portability. Software for insurance companies focuses on insurance related concerns, often times in the areas of claims management and validation, policy/document management, underwriting and actuarial systems, etc. I work primarily with EMR and PM systems. I will be doing some work with insurance eligibility and cost estimation later and that will touch on the insurance industry, but primarily my work right now is focused on internal operations of practices and practice groups and their interactions with patients. Those areas are more effected by the HITECH act than the healthcare reform being considered by Congress right now.
