My wife and I used to get funny looks in some quarters for having an interracial marriage and an interracial child. I don't notice it these days, but maybe that's because we live in California. It was definitely noticeable ten years ago in the MD/DC/VA area. How about a poll - do you think you would get funny looks in your area if you had an interracial marriage/offspring? Do you notice other people in that category, do you see them getting funny looks from others?
