The parallel is quite clear Sam. You said that defending Acorn in any way is justifying child prostitution. Of course Acorn isn't involved in child prostitution, nor are any of its employees (as far as we are aware of course). I said that Acorn had done a lot of good with its programs to get low income folks into houses they can afford and keep. You said that that was justifying child prostitution. The Catholic church, by contrast, has had actual employees engage in the sexual abuse of children and actively worked to cover it up. But I'm not going to say that the entire church is corrupt. I really don't think it is. I think that they do a lot of good work in their schools, in their charities, etc. If I followed your "logic", praising the charity work of the church would be defending sexual abuse of children. That logic is flawed and applies neither to the Catholic Church nor ACORN. >> And yes, I do think that abstinence only programs are evil. I'm glad I have it figured out too. Fortunately, I wasn't very difficult. Teaching abstinence is a good thing, I certainly plan on doing so with my child. Teaching *only* abstinence is monumentally stupid. Willful ignorance is not an educational strategy. That is the opposite of education. Do I need to make that more clear? Ignorance != Education Yet we have a very vocal group of folks out there that insist that ignorance is education and work to get it (and only it) funded. Yeah, really not that difficult to figure out Sam. Judah ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Want to reach the ColdFusion community with something they want?
