I'm inclined to charge MORE for mindless work. It tends to encourage the
thought in people that maybe they can do this themsleves. Which is the
point, kinda. I mean seriously... if it's only data entry, why are you
talking to me? That's why the world has data entry people.

This reply assumes that you have other things you could be doing. If your
don't and you feel like doing it, then, well, I guess charge a data-entry
rate. I have actually done that. But wouldn't a data entry person do it
faster and possibly better, as they'd be less  likely to be distracted by
wondering how to automate the process?
