No it isn't threatening war.No it does not have 'strong' ties to Iran. Chavez met with Iran, Cuba, Britain, Obama, Bolivia and several other countries. What are these 'strong' ties?
Strong ties like the US' strong ties to Saudi Arabia? I hardly think so. The US is placing military personnel and bases inside Colombia, the same Colombia who has used its military to make incursions over the border into Venezuela. The same US who has been accused by Venezuela of supporting a coup attempt against their democratically elected leader. The same US who vilifies the leadership of Venezuela. And this article and response falls right in line with what Chavez has said is the US' true intentions in Colombia.
