Yes, the area I now live in, Inman Park, was almost bulldozed over to
build a freeway for the people who wanted to live in the outer burbs
and commute to a job intown. Since then Inman Park is designated as a
Historic Area, which prohibits roads from being built, but even now
GDOT periodically comes up with plans to pave a new freeway through
it.

I'd love to be able to get more places on a bike. I wonder what SR17
is like on a bike?
