A molotov cocktail has to be prepared before hand. Your understanding of weapons and their capacity to wound and kill seems limited. Slingshots, clubs, crowbars, axes and knives are all weapons that can and do kill on a regular basis.
Israel says that they had a no-fire order till their attempts to stop the activists with a stun grenade failed. When under a no-fire order, it is not hard to gang up on someone and steal their weapon. Now as for the claim that they immediately shot the captain, that should be examined. Where was that reported. Oh, and there were serious injuries on the Israeli side, just no deaths.
