I can tell you from personal experience that lending is a huge issue. There
is a company that has several projects for me to do, but they can't get the
capital to pay me because they just couldn't get loans. I just recently has
a company drop a contract early for the same reason. The capital just isn't
out there for small businesses because the smaller banks just aren't giving
out the money.

Everyone in government since the Great Depression owns a share of the
blame for our current mess. Republicans like to say they are fiscally
responsible (and of course blame Bush for being a closet liberal
spender), but the truth it none of them has done a f#cking thing about
the long term viability of Medicare or Social Security. Well, that's
not true, Reagan did make some adjustments that staved off the
inevitable, but even he was unable or unwilling to provide a true fix,
one that would keep those programs solvent without breaking the bank.

As for the lack of jobs being created by small businesses, lending is
a problem, sure, but the real devil is the uncertainty of the business
climate. No one knows from day to day, week to week what the President

and trade were enacted. And yet Democrats would pass it tomorrow if
they had the vot
