After every world cup, soccer gets a bit of a surge here in the States,
especially if our team does well (2002) or the event is staged here (1994),
and every time the die hards declare that soccer is finally arriving in the
US. And each time....it dies down. I have no reason to believe this time
will be any different. As a sports fan, i hope i'm wrong (more sports is
always better :), but I'm dubious.
