You may be right, if he said that. What if he said this country was founded by Christians? What would a fact check reveal then? What would help is if you were to actually post some quotes, in context, that you disagree with. Then a good debate on revisionist history can be started instead of one based on hearsay. And on the issue of revisionist history, liberals seem to be up in arms of GB, but they don't seem to be that concerned about text books that are chalked full of the same.
