I would say the reverse is also true:

Just because a republican proposes an idea doesn't mean it a bad idea.

(The same, and its inverse, can be said of Democrats).

I think if (and that is a huge fucking 'if') politicians can
understand that just because someone from the other side of the aisle
proposed an idea, it does not mean that it is a bad idea AND that just
because someone from the same side of the aisle proposed an idea, it
does not mean it is a good idea, we will all be better off.

Than being said, I am gonna go look for the Great Pumpkin as I think
it is more likely I will find him.
