I'm reading about this looming "Government Shutdown" but I can't
figure what the heck that means.
I mean the government cannot *actually* shut down...
And why would the GOP be cheering for that?
The Washington Post reports that on Monday Republicans in the House
cheered on the prospect of a government shutdown.:
House Republicans huddled late Monday and, according to a GOP
aide, gave the speaker an ovation when he informed them that he was
advising the House Administration Committee to begin preparing for a
possible shutdown.
