Touching an on-duty police officer is considered battery, regardless
of intention.  Cursing them or attempting to stop an arrest in any way
is considered interference with an arrest - which can be a felony.

Not saying who was right or who was wrong in this case, just pointing
out the legal aspects.

It looked like she reacted to him striking her first, which is a
pretty normal response, but it likely bought her a conviction.
