I would disagree...that isn't even close to the definition of battery or
even assault.  Interfering with an arrest may be illegal, but the fact of
the matter is, this cop committed battery against this woman by slapping her
and her reaction would not give her a conviction though it may give the cop
one.

Touching an on-duty police officer is considered battery, regardless of
intention.  Cursing them or attempting to stop an arrest in any way is
considered interference with an arrest - which can be a felony.

Not saying who was right or who was wrong in this case, just pointing out
the legal aspects.

It looked like she reacted to him striking her first, which is a pretty
normal response, but it likely bought her a conviction.
