"I have never heard them commonly referred to as that, so, no, I didn't know that's what you meant. I meant community colleges or 2 year technical schools."
I didn't make it clear. In this day, when someone refers to a school as a technical school, it is more often than not assumed to be a CC. People tend to forget that A & M refers to Agricultural and Mechanical while A & T refers to Agriculture and Technical. The article was actually comparing four year technical schools to Ivy league schools. "Those are the extreme cases and the exceptions." Yes they are. While Gates may have had a silver spoon, Jobs didn't. I really don't know jack about Zuckerberg aside from him dropping out of college and being the owner of facebook (and some weird shit I saw about him killing his own meat). "You seem to like speaking in absolutes." My bad. I thought this sounded like an absolute: "If I wanted a code monkey worker drone, sure." "It depends on the experience. If they have a lot of coding under their belt and produce excellent results, great for them. That does not mean they are automatically going to be good at something else" True. And it won't be discovered unless they are given a chance. It might turn out to be the Peter Principle or it might be a great move.
