I understand what you mean about the Mac vs Windows cost issue. to be honest, I 
would not have paid for this machine with my own money. An old client of mine 
hit me up when I got back from Afghanistan to do a site for him. It was work in 
kind. I got a new MBP 17" screen, I'll get to go back in the pit area at a 
NASCAR race next season, and I get a great deal on discounted airline tickets. 
I had always had my eye on a Mac but as you said, I could not justify the cost. 
It's fortunate that I don't have to have a dual boot system as everything I do 
(Dreamweaver, Eclipse, Photoshop, Flash, MySQL, ColdFusion) I can do on the MAC 
OS. The only thing I really needed to do was bump up the RAM to 8GB and I might 
bump it up more later on. The only thing that I really want now is an external 
monitor.
