Sometimes you are just sick of putting up with shit with or without a gun. Our office building has a problem with an "office creeper" who sneaks into offices and steals purses and laptops. A guy like that came into our office one day (without taking anything, but he had a bullshit story about why he came in) and I escorted him down to the security desk, including a ride down the elevator, just me and him. If he'd turned on me in that elevator I was completely prepared to beat the living shit out of him. I did not have a gun with me. I am not sure what would have happened if I did. He was black. I am white.
