It's not learning, it's like drawing 427 1's and crossing out 100 at a
time. Actually, my daughter has to do that also. That's one of the ways
they teach. 96 - 3 = 93 but you get it marked wrong if you don't draw the
96 ticks and cross out 3 of them. Nice for 1st grade but not 5th.
