Then I borrowed 3 nickels from Sally and put them on the table. I counted all the coins on the table and there were nine. That answer is correct. Why would you have to waste time in a math class doing English when you could actually use the time to learn math? And I repeat, they are not learning how to calculate on the fly. It's like pretending to have 100 fingers. You will always need a scratch sheet or a calculator, lucky for our youths, most phones have calculators now. . .
