Not intentionally lie, just approach the situation with a bias that steers you in one direction.
Those who bemoan the Palestinian situation are not without merit. Israel is not a gentle dove seeking peace above all else. Decades of fighting for their own survival have left them paranoid and distrustful. This is understandable, but it's not always helpful.
