Another fun one (as I admin a web site with many PDF's) is that if you've got "browser integration" turned on (where it opens it within IE), if you click on several in a row, eventually it just stops loading them. This is a known Acrobat/IE problem that, AFAIK, has never been fixed.
On our website, because of this, we walk them through the procedure to turn off browser integration, opening it up directly in Acrobat, similar to how Netscape does it.
