Well it seems that it indeed was Apache 2.0.39 causing the pdf download
issue.

I got a copy of the 2.0.40 msi (the .exe still is bunged), installed it, and
tested the links to the pdfs. They all work now
(WOOHOOOO!!)...unfortunately, CFMX won't run with Apache 2.0.40, or rather
Apache 2.0.40 won't run with a call to the Jrun module, until they (MM)
upgrade the jrun module (same as 2.0.39).

I hope they hurry. I've got to launch this beast next week and I definately
don't want to run IIS on this server.

Macromedia (et.al.), if you're listening, please please, please fix the
incompatability issue with .40!
