>So because some people deliberately don't subscribe to a certain list >because they don't want to be bothered we should just go and bother them >on another list?
All I'm saying is that cf-talk is the *main* list. All the others are specialized sub-lists which many folks aren't normally interested in subscribing to for one reason or another. Sometimes it might not be a bad idea to announce there's a new thread on one of the other lists to get folks who otherwise might be interested but not see it to drop by and chat. >It wouldn't work. People don't have the discipline for that, they >believe one answer wouldn't hurt, they forget it etc. etc. > >Example: your own post. Even after the *listmaster* gave his verdict you >went on and didn't tell us to continue at cf-community. That's true enough. I started to say essentially the same thing but thought my post was long enough as it was. (Also I had to get up to turn off the overflowing coffee maker. :) Another thing I didn't say was that it Michael could one of these years set up a filter for the lists so that A) he could click a thread as closed and thus follow-ups be ignored and B) he could set it up so that any subject starting with "ANNOUNCEMENT:" would automatically ignore any follow-ups. --min ______________________________________________________________________ Your ad could be here.
