You have got to be kidding.

I'm awaiting your answer on cf-community. Those wo are not subscribed
but have an interest in this matter can use the list archives at

Followup to the following thread on cf-talk:
http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?method=messages&threadid=17221&forumid=4
</quote>

I explicitly pointed to the archives in both my post to cf-talk and my
post to cf-community.

Offer posters that start a thread the option to control where the thread
goes based on keywords in the subject. Neither you nor Michael gets to
act as the list police, but the person that starts the thread gets some
control.

Category: community
Subject: [community] rest_of_subject
Content: of specific interest to the CF community, but not technical
Example: Any Christian ColdFusion developers out there?
Actions:
Thread is crossposted to cf-community. A disclaimer is put on top of the
one post to cf-talk that every response is redirected to cf-community.
The thread closes after this single message.

Category: off-topic
Subject: [OT] rest_of_subject
Content: technical, related to, but not specific for, CF development
Example: OT: Netmechanic-style tool?
Actions:
The reply-to is set to the emailaddress of the person asking the
question. The thread is closed on cf-talk for everybody except the
original poster. The original poster will post a summary of the answers
he got off-list.

Category: for your information
Subject: [FYI] rest_of_subject
Content: one off announcements
Example: How to improve CF development with Fusebox ....
Actions:
Thread closes except for original poster so if there is some significant
development (such as a correct link) he can still post it.

All of these are only applicable for messages that start a new thread. I
don't think many people will use them, but for those that want to it
might be a good idea to give them the opportunity to do so.

Jochem
