No fear man, I know concern is the root of your position. It's why I debate, but not dislike, people who are for more gun control. In the majority of cases they mean well. Unfortunately meaning well isn't always the best source of political ideology, nor are feelings. I try and do basic logic when I look at an issue. I see this kind of like a flow.
Issue. Man killing people with a gun. Will further legislation prevent him or others from continuing this. No - Why? Because we (at least in the US) have proven that gun laws only prevent law abiding citizens from getting guns. As to how disarming a populace provides a larger victim base, I think that would be obvious. The people who are following the law don't have a means for personal self defense. The criminals however already break the law. I don't know. Sorry for getting into this so early folks :) Just pretty pissed, and I would love to get a concealed permit these days, but due to Maryland and DC (probably about the worst gun laws in the country) I cannot do so. Now I am thinking about how I am moving my wife, 2 sons, mother and grandmother in-laws here this weekend. I am thinking about my wife at the gas station, or the super market.
