It will though. I'm willing to bet that not many people in the UK could make their own rifle. Perhaps its different in the States because people there are more familiar with guns.
I wouldn't have the first idea how to go about getting an illegal gun in this country, and I couldn't get one legally. I certainly don't feel that makes me more likely to be a victim. It's just not a logical argument. w -----Original Message----- From: Jerry Johnson [mailto:jjohnson@;lawyersweekly.com] Sent: 22 October 2002 14:45 To: CF-Community Subject: RE: Possible Sniper Arrest >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 10/22/02 08:09AM >>> >...a high powered sniper rifle over here illegally, It doesn't appear to be a high-powered sniper rifle, just a run of the mill assualt rifle, probably with a decent scope. I bought mine (different caliber, stored in a different state) for $600, including the scope. And as for the gov keeping guns from being bought, I have a .22 rifle that my grandfather made for me (including drilling the barrel), and I have a .50 smooth bore that I built (although I bought the barrel from another guy). Making them illegal, and even preventing mass manufacture will not keep guns out of peoples' hands.
