Michael,

By using your same logic, if just 1 persons life is saved because they were
able to defend themselves with a gun, then they should be legal.

murder) Then that is worth pushing the legislation.

If there were studies that show how many people were saved by having a gun
you would think we would hear about it.

those countries have people doing mandatory time in their respective armies.
That changes everything.....

debate, but not dislike, people who are for more gun control. In the
majority of cases they mean well. Unfortunately meaning well isn't always
the best source of political ideology, nor are feelings. I try and do basic
logic when I look at an issue. I see this kind of like a flow.

prevent law abiding citizens from getting guns.

would be obvious. The people who are following the law don't have a means
for personal self defense. The criminals however already break the law.

would love to get a concealed permit these days, but due to Maryland and DC
(probably about the worst gun laws in the country) I cannot do so. Now I am
thinking about how I am moving my wife, 2 sons, mother and grandmother
in-laws here this weekend. I am thinking about my wife at the gas station,
or the super market. Just a bit freaked today is all.
