Maybe - I'm a stubborn, stubborn person by nature. However he DID day "php is as quickly learned and effective" - he just did. I swear! Also there was the statement "who wants to pay for a product (CF) when you can do everything as quickly for free". I repeat: "as quickly". I'm addressing the "CF has lost to PHP" messages. Statements like the above are not about financial responsibilty. The messages that I'm addressing are not the "I've had to learn PHP to pay my bills" - you SHOULD learn some of everything, definitely. I've had to learn forklift driving to pay my bills and have no regrets.
