It's part of _ASP.NET_.  That is what we're talking about, right?  And I never said 
ASP.NET was a platform.  .NET is the platform.

Yes.  In the case of CF, the tool and the platform are coupled very tightly (you can't 
really do anything useful with the platform unless you are using CFML).
