At my old company, which was a Telephone company, a number of the vehicles were SUVs. Because the company was based out in a very rural area, they needed 4 wheel drive vehicles to get to where they needed to get.
Where I am from you better know somebody with a truck or an SUV, else you just might be stuck for a while. People in big cities make these generalizations about SUVs and soccer moms, but there are a number of people who buy them because they do actually need them.
