This web system and my email don't seem to sink very well: //Quote from Larry's message via email I have no problems with SUV's that are actually used for real business purposes. All to often however these behemoths are used for hauling around spoiled kids and business yuppies. All too often during my commute, I see all too many SUV's with only one occupant, and far more often than not the drivers were suits who had nothing to do with physical work - the kind you'd see with electricians, carpenters, line techs etc - those who actually would need an SUV.
larry // Once again, it's America. You can buy what you want, when you want, how you want, as long as it is legal. Like was said before, the government doesn't and shouldn't tell us what car to drive, etc. It's a free country and it should stay that way. It's also the cornerstone of capitalism, which made this country what it is, the free market. People want SUVs, the car companies build them. If no one wanted them then the wouldn't be made, plain and simple. If all of sudden everyone starts buying hybrids, then that's what they will make. For me it not an SUV issue, it's an issue with people who think they know better than everyone else, and because they feel this way, they also feel the need to try to impose their beliefs on others. IE I don't drive an SUV so you shouldn't either, regardless of what you are using it for. Maybe the University of Michigan, the bastion of liberalism it is, should give 10 admission points to those students who don't drive SUVs. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?forumid=5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?method=subscribe&forumid=5 Your ad could be here.
