You should amend your statement to say anything "you" feel it is really needed for. Do I need an SUV to get groceries, no. Do I need any type of vehicle to get groceries, no. I could walk or ride a bike. It's about convienence and personal choice. You may feel that is not needed to groceries, but other people do. It falls back to Larry's point of trying to determine intended use.
