For males it *is* primarily homosexual males... quoting the numbers again: In Canada (quoting Kevin's numbers):
Of the 16,407 adult male AIDS cases, 77.9% were attributed to MSM and an additional 5.0% were attributed to the combined group MSM and injecting drug use (MSM/IDU) In the US (again, quoting Kevin's numbers): 76% of all AIDS cases reported in 1999 were male. Of that 76%(,) 53% were from male to male intercourse. So a majority of those infected with AIDS is male, and of the percentage of males infected, a majority of those acquired the disease from homosexual acts. In a country where majority rules, it's a primarily gay issue. That is not to say that it is not an issue that affects everyone, as family and friends are Affected by those Infected. However, the issue of infection rates are what we are talking about.
