Uh huh.

And if Trinidad was going to war, and the UN was undecided..and it was a
war in the middle east...you'd stil have nothing to say about it because
you don't live here. It CAN impact your life.
And what happens in the States..in the UK CAN impact your life.
If we were developing nuclear and chemical weapons you damned well would
have something to say!

*rolls eyes*

Give me a break.
This shit affects the entire world not just America or just Iraq.

By your...well....'logic'..there should be no damned news reporting..no
analysing of anything if the reporter or Analyst doesn't live in a
country or is a citizen. There should also be no CNN because those
reporters and consultants for damned sure don't LIVE in the middle east,
they aren't Arabs so what the hell are they doing giving opinions on
Arab matters for?

And that's patently ridiculous.

What? It's alright for some American on MSNBC to comment and engage in
discussion about matters occuring in the Middle East, or in Pakistan but
its not alright for Joe Blow to ask the same questions of America?

*steups*

Also you should never get involved in any debate on anything outside the
United States. Whether it be the situation in Saudi Arabia, the goings
on in Britain, the arms and armament of North Korea..because hey! You
don't LIVE there!

Actually....if you don't live in New York you shouldn't be able to
comment on that city. You should say nothing about the performance of its
Mayor or make reference to ANY sort of policies that were set.

If you are in Texas you shouldn't comment on anything that happens
internally in Alaska, or the governance of any state but your own.

If you don't PLAY hockey..then you shouldn't comment on any of the
games...and if someone falls and breaks their ass you're in no position
to say he slipped or not because you don't play Hockey.

You can't look at the NBA and comment on the game, or say who's a better
player or not if you don't play basketball.

It gets completely ridiculous and is a very weak defence for people that
don't want to face viewpoints other than their own and if it is taken to
an extreme you see just how silly it is.

If you're afraid of debate, if you're afraid of people asking questions
then don't involve yourself in the debate.Otherwise say what you have to
say and show that the other person's point of view is incorrect or one
you do not agree with like a mature individual.
But don't say that no one has a right to comment on America because they
don't live in America.
That is ignorant.

And if it were true there will be almost no discussions on this list.

I find myself feeling the exact same thing sometimes Gel. I mean here's
something I think about. How many troops did your country send to
Somalia to try and feed people? How many did you send to eastern Europe
to stop the genocide? How many of your people have walked on the moon
or in space?

What are the laws regarding free press in your country like (funny, the
guy doesn't comment on that fact the England has almost fully censored
news when the gov't wants it). What are your taxes like? Health care?
Welfare? Poverty? Unemployment?

See I have never been to your country, and I have never lived there. So
I don't consider myself as able to comment on it. I have no knowledge
of your situation. Even had I been there, I am still not a citizen of
your nation, and therefore I have no say what so ever in what goes on
there, and as such need formulate no opinion, as whatever happens there
will have little to no impact on my life.
