Define 'better specs', please.

Are we talking about RAM and drivespace, etc?  Or are we talking about GHz,
'cause you do /not/ want to get into a war with me over RISC and CISC chips.
:-)

My co-workers (all Mac people) are looking at upgrading their PowerBooks, so
I looked at what a Dell Inspiron or whatever the name of the corporate
version is would cost for similar features and (lo and behold) it came out
to be about $2300.

So I guess my question boils down to what you consider comparable specs.
