Streets clogged with construction equipment? I'd rather that than the
plowed snow that's causing obscene traffic during morning commute!

I'm thrilled too. My father worked across the street from the World Trade
Center during its construction (and lived a stones throw from the Verrazano
bridge during its), and now I'll be witnessing this when my office relocates
downtown in the next month or two... On the downside, I expect the streets
will be pretty clogged with construction equipment for a _long_ time to
come.
