ROTFLOL! That's a funny comment.

Well, we got a good deal of it out in 1917, and you're right, centuries of
oppression really means nothing to us today (as long as you can overlook
what actually happened, the horror of which words cannot describe, and not
tie them into present inequities which can be viewed as a direct result of
what occured). It's probably time to forget and just be friends, and I
really do think that's what's happening anyways ;^)

You have an interesting view on history. If all it should be used for is to
inspire new action, what would be the purpose of Exodus? Should we forget
how cruel Pharoah was, and just say Moses did a good job?

For some reason, I think our memories have more value than that...

This seems to be one of the issues in many countries.  This long memory for
past atrocities leads to present and future atrocities.  At what point in
time do you need to just get over it?  Move on.  You can not change the
past, only use it to prevent repeating it.
