I am in no way saying the patriot act is a good thing. However the responsibility still lies in the hands of the people who voted for it. I don't care if they were not allowed to amend it. They should not have voted for it.
They should have read the bill, I read every contract I sign, because I want to know what I am signing. I read each ballot in the voting booth on Election Day, and I make sure to understand what I am voting on before I get there. If you have use a filibuster to force the issue then that is what you have to do.
