Pablo, The body was meant to handle such, because it can. There are a number of different methods of pain control that work and work very effectively even to the point of experiencing no pain during surgery. Every one knows of the classic acupuncture examples. I know of one case where the person was allergic to anesthetic and had to undergo very invasive exploratory surgery. Her oncologist suggested that she contact my dissertation advisor to see if hypnotic pain control would help. After receiving the appropriate training and practice, she was able to go through surgery without any anesthesia whatsoever.
