At my sister-in-law's wedding years ago, her husband (Russian) introduced me to Absolut Kurrant vodka - consumed Absolutely ice cold in neat shots, repeatedly :-)
They had used cardboard milk cartons with clear water to freeze a block of ice with flowers in it around each bottle of vodka. Kept it c-o-l-d and was pretty.
