How do you think the fact that many of these developing or third world
countries no longer have the protection on the global market for their
agricultural / manufactured products has affected their economy?
My opinion is that these economies were affected in a terrible, negative
way. In fact, I would go so far as to say that Agriculture and
manufacturing industries in these countries have been completely
destroyed.
Whole sectors of these economies wiped out by the actions of countries
like America and the larger nations in Europe.
A small nation like Dominica tried to recover by providing off shore
banking services, but was summarily shut down by Father America.
So now, these same countries are attempting to maintain solvency by
enhancing their knowledge based industries and skillsets, especially IT.
So on the one hand Globalisation and Free Trade is perfect when it
allows American industries free access to these new and emerging
marketplaces, but its terrible and heinous when it allows these same
economies that are being raped to provide knowledge based services to
American companies.
To me, that's quite a double standard.
Even if the little programmers suffer, the American corporations and the
American economy on the whole, benefits *greatly*.

I'm sorry, I only speak english. If you want an answer you'll have to
elaborate, 'cause I still don't understand how your previous comment
relates only to my suggestion and not to the suggestion of keeping
jobs in the US in general.
