forbid anything happens i know its gonna be hard for the doctors to say
don't save this guy because they want to its their job. But if i have to
live locked as a prisoner in my body as a veggie i would rather die and
find out what happens after you die. I always wonder does everything
just fade to black. Its just a weird though that in an instant your
essence can be gone just fading to black for eternity?

I suppose there will always be people who have never experienced having
a family
member in a "persistent vegetative state" who will keep on trying to
deny a
person's right to die a dignified death. Due to some warped faith or
belief
they persist in imposing the most horrific pain and agony on the
helpless.
Their only argument is the extremely rare cases where a comatose person
has
regained consciousness, even though they are not the same person once
this
happens.
I would strongly support laws that would enforce the right to die in as
dignified a manner as possible under the circumstances, and this would
include
assisted suicide by the terminally ill. I just could not be monster
enough to
want to ever impose the pain and suffering on anyone.
Extending the argument, is the controversy over the timely
administration of
sufficient pain killers for the agonizing cancer sufferers who are in
the end
stage of the disease and death is inevitable. Some Doctors will do
this, but
there still exists a large number who won't, and will allow the person
so
tortured continue in agony.
Life and death decisions are made daily by medical personnel, that is,
making
the decision to discontinue resuscitation of a traumatized person.

| She is dependent on a machine to live. You as a person have the right
in
| the united states to say i do not want to survive via artificial
means.
| Which means when you unplug the machine and/or tubes nature takes its
| course. So lets take a step back and realize its only nature and get
| over it.
|
| If i was the guy though i would move my ass out of florida then.
FLorida
| is so messed up i hate this state sometimes, i hate the people
| sometimes, i defiantly hate the fans of their so called baseball team
| too grrr long story about last nights game.
|

| what is going to happen its nature get over it. She did not want to
live
| as a vegtable but her parents say ohhhh she makes progress with us and
| such. Its not the governments place to say what has to happen it was
| told to each other verbally and that IS enough. A court saw it as
enough
| and now i'm waiting for a court to rule the insane overstepping over
the
| boundries of power by the Florida Legislature was improper.
| I looked at those movies btw thats just more reason to let her go like
| she wanted. OH well poor women its just another step down the road.
|
| Eventually even written living wills will be disregarded by a family
| member. Its the husbands choice or the wifes choice thats just the way
| it is deal with it.
|
| Its sad that those parents can't get past that or only want money or
| whatever.
