When the body is broken, it will be promptly cremated and scattered. It's all prepaid and guaranteed, so no prob for anyone at the time. The family/friends can go along on the boat, can do the scattering if they want, but don't have to.
My mother-in-law did this. We had a beautiful "remembrance" at the Marin Headlands, just outside the Golden Gate, then she was scattered.
My wife and I have asked that we be scattered in SF Bay near Alcatraz - we met on the tour of Alcatraz !! Sentimental. (Or just mental!!)
