That's how I heard it as well. Although I think the father said she was
an interactive design program.

Obviously some programs create others, so the Oracle must have designed
Smith. It was my impression that the Oracle was one of the top teir
programs, so it's no surprise that she could have designed one of the
defense programs.
I got the impression that there was a great deal of "fuzziness" in the
Matrix. Why did the Architect (root) need agents? Couldn't it simply
cd /
del /s neo.src
Or simple find his port and turn it off? I always kind of figured that
the Matrix was so large, so complex, that even root had trouble extering
complete control over it.
By the way - I _hated_ the Architect. When the giant black spike ball
came out at the end.... now THAT was how he should have looked all
along. I assume that was the Architect as well, but wheh he came out as
the white guy, I thought he looked more like an investment banker.
I've said it before, but I always wanted the top guy to look like the
MCP from Tron. :)
